Each one starts with a traditional quilt block and ends up in fabrics that suit a modern room, and no two come out the same. The ultimate in this Carpenter Wheel series of collaboration with my friend. The fabrics here are very unique... The fabric of the star is pretty traditional, but the background fabric is a beautiful Tilda fabric and the same with the Asian print back and the binding that is a fourth fabric. This has been quilted with a meander in coordinating thread so it recedes.

This is another collaboration wit a friend of mine. I love the fabrics he chose for this project and the layout he gave me for it as well. This is a first for me in a couple ways. This is the first piece I quilted with an edge to edge design freehand and this is also the first piece that all the used fabrics have some sort of sparkle to them. I'll be sorry to see this one go.

Green and Pink Grunge with Purple Grunge binding and back. This is really beautiful in person with the colors change in the Grunge fabric and how the meander quilting recedes with a light pink thread and a coordinating thread on the back to make the quilting recede. Bold yet understated, will add colors to any room or give it a more "modern look".

For those of you that like a little "sparkle in life" check this out... Both the green AND red fabrics here have a sparkle to them, not overbearing or too much, but a bit more subtle depending the way the light hits it. The mice here are adorable with the presents, stars, bells, ribbons, and candy canes. The back is larger scale Poinsettia Christmas Bouquet with Peppermint candy canes. Even the binding has a bit of sparkle to it.

This is another example in the Carpenter's Wheel Series and this would be absolutely ADORABLE in a little kids room. This is good for either a boy or a girl. It has a bit of pink and green with a light blue back and the same light blue backing makes up the binding that really finishes it off very nicely. The quilting is all stitch in the ditch so it doesn't take away from the pattern at all and in a very close color to the back.
